Chili Con Carne

Ingredients:

Chop the onion up and throw it in a pan with the hamburger,
Cook well on medium.
If you don't cook it long enough, the hamburger is chewy and detracts from the chili.
Once it's cooked add the tomato sauce, beans and two or three strong dashes of chili powder.
Stir. Bring to a raging boil, uncovered for 5 minutes or so.
Careful, it splatters.
Then let it cook, still uncovered, on low but still boiling for 30 minutes.
Taste and add Tabasco and/or more chili powder.
I bought a screen thing from the grocery store. It lays on the top of whatever I'm cooking. It allows water to steam out but catches the splatters. You may want to invest in one.
