Ordination:: in 1772 at North Carolina.  
Immigration: in 1778 at Boone's Creek, Washington Co. Tennessee   at age 54
Occupation: Baptist Reverend

Accomplishment: Established the first church west of the mountains in 1779 at Buffalo Ridge, Tennessee.  
Accomplishment: Established the Buffalo Ridge Church the first Baptist church in Tennessee
Accomplishment: Established the Bent Creek Baptist Church, 4th oldest congregation in TN in 1785 at Bent Creek, Whitesburg, Tennessee.

Burial:  The remains of Tidence and Esther were relocated from the Tidence Lane Cemetery in 2018. 1st Baptist Cemetery, Whitesburg, Hamblen County, Tennessee
