Albert Patrick Holmberg died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012. Albert was one of two children born to Sixtus Alexander Holmberg and Bernice Masters Holmberg. Albert Holmberg, grew up in St.Augustine. He is a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and the University of Florida. He retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years as a civilian educator at the Army War College. He also was a high school teacher and coach. Mr. Holmberg served two terms on the St. Augustine Beach City Commission. He was a member of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, Knights of Columbus, Association of U.S. Army and the St. Augustine Historical Society

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lisbeth Holmberg; and two daughters, Tina Holmberg and Jana Holmberg.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, Rev. Fr. Tom Willis, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.
